PIVOTAL, was the word I chose to capture the essence of 2025. There were big, big life decisions and transitions and I feel really great about what the 2025 changes will bring to 2026. After an entire career of running a real estate business I “retired” from brokerage ownership and transitioned to being a part of a really awesome dynamic team operating out of Swan Agency/Portside Real Estate Group’s Northeast Harbor, Maine office. We are going to be disruptors in the local real estate biz and I am HERE FOR IT!
I also sold my second most significant career effort and investment, Bayview Hotel in Bar Harbor. It was a bit of a shock to the system to move on from both major companies but it has opened up an exciting new array of projects. What was one property, the oceanfront saltwater farm in Sullivan, Maine misguidedly named Swan Song (misguided because it certainly has turned out not to be my swan song :) has become five. Joining the farm all under the Swan Song Maine umbrella are an array of waterfront jewels including the 880 acre Fox Pond Estate, a postcard worthy view and campy camp four minutes from the Farm, an incredible waterfront Maine farmhouse and barn in Prospect Harbor and a design triumph cottage and bunkhouse complex on Little Cranberry Island. One can imagine the juggling and consideration of how to market such an array of properties.
We are committed to taking January to finalize plans on how these individual properties will be available this summer AND winter. We’ve been so focused on summer for so long we are excited to bring winter adventures to our offerings. I can personally attest that a snowy afternoon in front of the fire at Fox Pond Lodge is about as soothing and peace giving as it can get. Happy New Year!
